The schematic is a little awkward and different to the mainstream amplifier schematics,
but it rather suffers from oscilation in some stages and there are overall instability issues.
Luckely the protection circuit usually works ok.

Modifications:

You may replace some capacitors and resistors in the power supply and power rail.

Some pcb boards are not very well servicable, you have to dismantle half the amp to get to the parts.
The vertical placed sub pcb's are often the cause of problems and cause DC-offset.
The front switches are of cheap quality. The 'sound enhancer' is awkward and useless and suffers from 'pops'.
The video amp board is useless and suffers from problems very often.
The phono stage is often broken.

Sound:

The sound is good.
